Christex Foundation Signs MOU with UNDP

Christex Foundation is a non-profitable organisation with a vision to empower individuals by utilising the potential of blockchain and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) recently signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to collaborate on the UniPoD - Academy Digital Innovation program in Sierra Leone, a program dedicated to closing this digital gap.

The partnership between UNDP and the Christex Foundation aims to leverage blockchain technology to foster a digital ecosystem that supports innovation and entrepreneurship in Sierra Leone. By providing free blockchain training, the UniPoD - ADI with this partnership will promote an environment where entrepreneurs would get to experiment with this technology, the possibilities and opportunities it opens, this will also equip participants with skills and knowledge that would help create pathways for young individuals to have a competitive edge, employment in the technology sector globally, and strengthen partnerships with various stakeholders.

The signing of the MOU will contribute to the Christex Foundation significant strides in leading Sierra Leone through a digital transformation. With blockchain as a key focus of the UniPoD - ADI program, Christex Foundation will take a crucial role in administering the blockchain component of the program by leading curriculum development, providing resources, setting up program structure, and establishing tech clubs and meetups.
